Textiles designed for contract sector brought to life in second ‘El Cubo’ show

31/07/2019

The dedicated contract show, staged as part of Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar is set to feature designs by KA International, Digital Walls and La Tapicera

Interior designer Ornella Carrillo will be creating a Premium Suite using textile products from exhibitors at the fair, whilst Inés Abramian and Ana Paúl will be replicating several of the public rooms commonly found in hotels.

The fifth edition of Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar takes place from 11th to 13th next month (September) at the Caja Mágica venue in Madrid.  The organisers are currently finalising the content of what will be the second edition of ‘El Cubo’, the specialist contract sector show that features a number of specialist providers to the sector together with several hotel rooms and a full programme of talks and discussions themed on this segment of the interiors industry.

In a fresh initiative this year, ‘El Cubo’ will be using specialist website Infinityinner to turn the spotlight on new textiles specially devised for the business of furnishing public spaces such as hotels, restaurants and unusual interior design projects.

‘El Cubo‘ will thus be showcasing the latest innovations from a range of specialist providers to the contract sector including, notably, KA International, Digital Walls and La Tapicera. As well as exhibiting their latest designs, these companies will be able to take part in the programme of talks, giving them the opportunity to illustrate how their products can be deployed in large-scale projects.

Also, ‘El Cubo’ will again be hosting an initiative that was especially appealing to the professionals who saw it last year: the ‘Art Hotel’ project, which consists of a number of spaces at Caja Mágica being dressed as hotel rooms furnished with textile products provided by various exhibitors at the fair.

Several high-profile interior design professionals are collaborating on this particular ‘El Cubo’ project, with the highly regarded Madrid-based interior designer Ormelia Carrillo in charge of designing the premium suite and Inés Abramian and Ana Paul in charge of devising this unusual hotel’s public areas. Exhibitors Dabedan, Bitex, Comersan, Cabanes & Ortuño, Texol, Aznar Textil, Destiny Decor and Fibres Contract are providing product for the designers to use to create their interiors.

With the ‘El Cubo’ Project, Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar is an event that covers all channels through which textiles for the home, décor and upholstery are marketed, from traditional homewares retailers to interior design and specification businesses.
