The kitchen furniture and equipment trade fair takes place next week, from 20th to 23rd September, running concurrently for the first time with Feria Hábitat and Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar to form en event with more than a thousand companies and brands exhibiting.
Espacio Cocina SICI will be taking up 10,000 square metres in N3P4 with an offering from 118 companies and brands showing the way to the kitchens of the future.
The fair organisers have put together an intensive programme of parallel events that includes lectures, special exhibits and round tables, all centred on the Plaza Cocina and the KMO initiative.
All is now ready for a very special edition of Espacio Cocina SICI. The leading trade fair for Spain’s kitchen furniture and equipment industry takes place next week at Feria Valencia. This fourth edition of the fair runs from Tuesday 20th to Friday 23rd September, the first time the fair will have taken place in September and alongside celebrated furniture fair Feria Hábitat València and specialst home textiles fair Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar.
These circumstances mean that the kitchen industry will enjoy some unique synergies with the distribution channel serving the home and specifying sectors, in what is a milestone for the event as the combined offering from the three fairs showcases almost a thousand Spanish and international companies and brands across an area of more than 90,000 square metres of exhibition space - a vast offering with huge power to attract visitors. Professionals are expected to attend from all sectors of the interiors industry involved, including some 3,000 top level buyers from more than 60 countries.
Dedicated kitchen hall
Kitchens have been selected, from amongst the extensive and varied offering, to be showcased in the 10,000 square metres available in hall N3P4 on Feria Valencia’s Level 3, just next to Hábitat’s design zone and opposite the textiles hall. The dedicated kitchen area will feature a very select, quality offering from 118 European manufacturers and brands, who will be showing their latest collections and innovations in furniture, tableware, kitchen accessories, chairs and tables, appliance housing units, coverings, work surfaces, marble, taps…A unique space, back for the first time since 2019 when it ran alongside Cevisama and now looking forward with high expectations.
In search of the kitchen of the future
As well as its purely commercial side, Espacio Cocina SICI has also put together a full programme of parallel events centred on its new innovation zone. Designated ‘KMO’, the zone has been created specifically to show the latest trends and advances developed by the suppliers in the kitchen sector. The area will also feature the Plaza Cocina (‘Kitchen Plaza’), a huge stage where lectures and product presentations will be given every day of the fair.
These will include, most notably, specific talks on the marble sector and the new challenges with distribution, organised by specialist portal Focus Piedra. The Plaza Cocina will also host a hotly anticipated talk by youtuber and social network expert Dani Colino, who will show howsocial networks can work strategically for businesses.
There will also be an exhibition, staged by AMC, joint promoters of the fair together with Feria Valencia, titled ‘Trilogía by AMC: A look into the kitchen of the future’ that, against the backdrop of Valencia World Design Capital 2022, will show three designs in distinct styles that reflect the same concept: of the kitchen as the social hub of our homes. Several manufacturers have contributed their most innovative designs to this initiative incuding Mobalco, Hitaloy and conglomerate Home Design Hub, which comprises Antalia, Pando, Cosentino and Latorre.
